Vocabulary Homework - Students must research definitions and create sentences for each word. |

Homework assignment: 20 minutes of supervised independent reading. Students should read self-selected, teacher-approved literature for 15 minutes. They are then expected to write a one-paragraph reflection, from the perspective of the weekly reading strategy. |

Students will compare and contrast the Chinese epic poem, Mulan, with the Disney cartoon version. |

Quiz on Pagoda Packet. Students will demonstrate understanding of images, themes, and methods of ancient Chinese writers. |

Grammar quiz. Students will show that they know how to properly use relative pronouns. |
